W. Allen Doane

Director

Allen Doane is past chairman and chief executive officer of Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. He retired on December 31, 2009, and remains a director of A&B. He joined A&B in 1991, was named chief executive officer and a director in 1998, and chairman of the board in 2006.

Prior to joining A&B, Doane was chief operating officer of the Shidler Group from 1988 to 1990. Prior to that, he was group vice president of IU International Corporation, a large diversified company headquartered in Philadelphia. He began his business career in Hawaii in 1975 with C. Brewer & Co., Ltd..

Doane is a director of First Hawaiian Bank and Pacific Guardian Life Insurance Company. He also serves on the boards of a number of community organizations.

Doane received a bachelor's degree from Brigham Young University and holds a master's degree in business administration from Harvard Business School. He served as an officer in the U.S. Navy for four years.

W. Blake Baird

W. Blake Baird is chairman and chief executive officer of Terreno Realty Corporation, a San Francisco-based public real estate investment trust.

Before co-founding Terreno Capital Partners in 2007, Baird served as president and director of AMB Property Corporation (NYSE: AMB), a global developer, owner and operator of industrial real estate.

Baird joined the Alexander & Baldwin Board in 2006. He is a member of the Young Presidents' Organization and a former member of the Board of Governors of the National Association of Real Estate Investment Trusts.

Baird received two bachelor's degrees from the University of Pennsylvania (in economics from the Wharton School and in history from the College of Arts and Sciences). He also received a master's degree in business administration from New York University.

Michael J. Chun

Michael J. Chun is president and headmaster of The Kamehameha Schools, Kapalama Campus. A 1961 graduate of Kamehameha Schools, Dr. Chun is the schools' tenth president and Headmaster of the Kapalama Campus.

Dr. Chun joined the Alexander & Baldwin Board in 1990. He is also a director of the Bank of Hawaii Corporation (NYSE: BOH). Dr. Chun is an active member in various community and professional organizations. He serves as director of the Bishop Museum, Hawaii Association of Independent Schools, the Metropolitan Board of the YMCA and as trustee of Hawaii Pacific University and board member of the Hawaii Medical Services Association.

Chun received a bachelor's degree in civil engineering and a doctorate in environmental health engineering, both from the University of Kansas. He received a master's degree in civil engineering from the University of Hawai'i.

Walter A. Dods, Jr.

Walter A. Dods, Jr. is chairman of the board of Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. He became Chairman on January 1, 2010. Dods has served as lead independent director of A&B since 2006 and as a director of A&B since 1989. He has more than three decades of international and corporate experience at the highest levels of executive leadership for First Hawaiian Bank and BancWest Corporation, and also currently serves as a Director of First Hawaiian Bank and Hawaiian Telcom Holdco, Inc., as well as a member of numerous other profit and non-profit boards.

Dods received a bachelor's degree in business administration from the University of Hawaii.

Charles G. King

Charles G. King is president and dealer principal of King Auto Center on Kauai and dealer principal of King Infiniti of Honolulu. Mr. King established King Auto Center in 1995.

King has been a director of the Alexander & Baldwin since 1989. He is a member of the State of Hawaii Elections Commission and the Salary Commission for the County of Kauai. He is an active member in the community, volunteering on boards such as the Hawaii Community Foundation, Island School, St. Michael & All Angels Episcopal Church and Hawaii Preparatory Academy.

Stanley M. Kuriyama

Stanley M. Kuriyama is president and chief executive officer of Alexander & Baldwin, Inc. He became CEO on January 1, 2010, and has held the position of president since October 2008. Prior to that, he was president and chief executive officer, A&B Land Group from July 2005 until September 2008. He also held positions with A&B Properties, Inc., the property development and management subsidiary of A&B. From December 1999 to September 2008, he was its chief executive officer. Kuriyama’s leadership has been the principal element in A&B’s highly successful growth in real estate. He first joined A&B in 1992.

Prior to joining A&B in 1992, Kuriyama was a partner in the law firm of Cades Schutte Fleming & Wright, specializing in real estate and real estate financing. He is a 1977 graduate of Harvard Law School.

Kuriyama is the vice-chairman of the Hawaii Real Estate Commission, and currently serves on the boards of various non-profit organizations.

Constance H. Lau

Constance H. Lau is president, chief executive officer and a director of Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc., (NYSE: HE) holding company for Hawaiian Electric Company and American Savings Bank. She is chairman of the board of Hawaiian Electric Company. In addition, Lau is chairman of the board of American Savings Bank. She started her career with Hawaiian Electric in 1984.

Lau joined the Alexander & Baldwin Board in 2004. She also serves on the boards of a number of community organizations in Hawaii.

Lau received a bachelor's degree in administrative sciences from Yale University. She also received a juris doctor from the University of California's Hastings College of Law and a master's degree in business administration from Stanford University.

Douglas M. Pasquale

Douglas M. Pasquale is a director of Ventas, Inc. (NYSE:VTR), since the acquisition of Nationwide Health Properties, Inc. (formerly NYSE:NHP) in July 2011. From 2009 until July 2011, he served as chairman of the board and chief executive officer of NHP, a publicly traded real estate investment trust (REIT) that invests in senior housing facilities, long-term care facilities and medical office buildings throughout the United States. Pasquale was appointed chairman in May 2009 and also served as president and chief executive officer since 2004.

A director of the Alexander & Baldwin Board since 2005, he is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Newport Harbor Nautical Museum.

Pasquale received a bachelor's degree in business and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Colorado.

Jeffrey N. Watanabe

Jeffrey N. Watanabe is retired founder of Watanabe Ing law firm. Prior to co-founding Watanabe Ing in 1971, Watanabe was deputy attorney general for the State of Hawaii and also served as chief counsel for the State in matters before the federal transportation agencies.

He was appointed director of Alexander & Baldwin in 2003 and also serves as director of First Insurance Company of Hawaii, Ltd., Grace Pacific Corporation and Cellular Bioengineering, Inc. He is the non-executive Chairman of Hawaiian Electric Industries, Inc (NYSE: HE). He also serves on the boards of a number of community organizations.

Watanabe is a member of the American and Hawaii Bar Associations, the Hawaii Business Roundtable, Hawaii Executive Conference and the Hawaii Asia Pacific Association. He received his bachelor's degree from the University of California at Berkley and his juris doctor from George Washington University Law Center.

Admiral Thomas B. Fargo, USN (Ret.)

Admiral Tom Fargo became the Chairman of Huntington Ingalls Industries (NYSE: HII), America’s largest military shipbuilder, on March 31, 2011. HII was previously a business sector of Northrop Grumman Corporation.

Following a distinguished career serving the U.S. Navy and the Department of Defense, Admiral Fargo transitioned to corporate leadership in March 2005, as President of Trex Enterprises, a privately held high technology company. In April 2008, he became a Managing Director of J.F. Lehman and Co, with principal responsibilities as President and CEO of HSF Holdings/Hawaii Superferry. He currently holds the John M. Shalikashvili Chair in National Security Studies at the National Bureau of Asian Research (NBR).

Admiral Fargo completed his military career as the twentieth officer to hold the position of Commander of the U.S. Pacific Command. As the senior U.S. military commander in East Asia, the Pacific and Indian Ocean areas, he led the largest unified command while directing the joint operations of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Force across 100 million miles. He was responsible to the President through the Secretary of Defense as the U.S. military representative for collective defense arrangements in the Pacific.

Admiral Fargo also served as the 29th Commander-in-Chief of the U.S. Pacific Fleet from October 1999 to May 2002. His service as a leader in the Pacific was preceded by his command of the U.S. Fifth Fleet and Naval Forces of the Central Command during two years of Iraqi contingency operations from July 1996 to July 1998. His 35 years of service included six tours in Washington, DC, in addition to five commands in the Pacific, Indian Ocean, and Middle East.

Born in San Diego, CA, he attended high school in Coronado, CA, and Sasebo, Japan. Admiral Fargo graduated from the United States Naval Academy in June 1970, and has additional Governance, Business and Financial training from Harvard and Stanford Universities. He is a 1989 recipient of the Vice Admiral James Bond Stockdale Award for Inspirational Leadership.

Admiral Fargo serves on the Boards of Directors for Hawaiian Electric Industries (NYSE: HE) and United States Automobile Association in addition to smaller private equity and venture capital portfolio companies. Previous service included the Boards of Northrop Grumman Corporation (NYSE: NOC) and Hawaiian Airlines (NASDAQ: HA). He is active in the community, serving on the Boards of Directors for the Japan-America Society of Hawaii, the Friends of Hawaii Charities, and the Iolani School Board of Governors.
